The transcript imagines the first episode of a podcast exploring Tibetan diaspora decline and revival five generations from now and the communities' attempts to rebuild by looking to the past that is the present of now and before.
Angela Nawang's foundational practice comes from community organizing in her neighborhood of Queens, NY with Nepali and Tibetan communities. Currently, she is exploring the realms of science fiction as a means of going beyond the limiting borders, physical and imagined, of diaspora and exile communities. She is also utilizing sci-fi to realize the infinite possible presents and futures where our communities exist and thrive.
