Entering jovian atmosphere
Subash Thebe is a Sound Artist, Filmmaker, Composer, Electronic Musician, Performer and a Painter. Subash has an MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins (2016) where he received the UAL Vice Chancellor’s Post Graduate International Scholarship, a BA in Fine Art from Middlesex University (2011) and an Intermediate Fine Art Degree from Lalit Kala Campus, Kathmandu.
His work explores the relationship between Art and Social Change through the usage of various media. He regards public engagement as the most effective way to achieve social change, recording the sounds and images of these actions which find a place within his works. His current works are inspired by Science Fiction, Future Scenarios of Struggle, Resistance, Climate Change and the role of Indigenous and Marginalised people.
